Driving the FAMOUS Squad 51 Replica + Ward LaFrance Engine 51 Old Start Cold Start and walk around

Remember the ‪@NBC‬ show Emergency! aired in 1972 to 1977? If not, it was the "OG" of emergency shows that paved the way for many of the excellent shows that we have today. Two of the most recognizable vehicles from that show are the famous Squad 51 Rescue vehicle and Engine 51. The owner of these vehicles is our dear friend Mike dedicated a huge part of his life acquiring and restoring two very special vehicles to accurate replicas of the show - a 1990 Dodge D350 and a 1972 Ward LaFrance Ambassador. Sadly, Mike passed away a couple of weeks ago and wanted these at his memorial in early August.

In our video today, we old start / cold start both of these rigs and go through all the compartments of the Squad 51 replica to see everything Mike had collected over the years. We then drive it over to the church, which was a bit of an...interesting....experience riding on very old tires, and considering the Dodge hadn't been on the road much in about the last 10 years.
