This video is about The Woodland Dance Cub Big Band Bash, the first dinner dance for our 2013-14 season. We did something different this time, with music provided by the 15-piece Houstonian Big Band. In this video you will see just a small sampling of the fun we had and the music we enjoyed. My camera battery ran down pretty quickly because of an event earlier in the day, and I did not have a spare. Fortunately, other people helped out. Rob Reese, our president, was able to borrow a video camera from another member and get some great footage of swing dancing to "In the Mood." Rob is a talented film director/producer by profession, and he always gets some great shots even with a little hand-held camera. We welcome applications from new members to join our dance club. We have two more dinner dances planned for this season. These will be bands that feature more of a contemporary "party style" than The Houstonian Big Band, but they will certainly offer a good selection of songs for all kinds of dancing from ballroom to freestyle dance.
