On Saturday, March 25th, Socialist Alternative and ‪@workersstrikeback‬ held a solidarity rally outside of the offices of Amazon’s union-busting lawyers Jackson Lewis PC.

Jackson Lewis is utilized by Amazon to stop workers from organizing, and workers across Chicago and across the country are fighting back! This action was held in solidarity with workers at KCVG, Amazon’s largest Air Hub, who are fighting for a union. These workers are demanding $30/hr starting pay, 180 hours of paid time off, and union representation at disciplinary meetings to end favoritism and retaliation. Amazon is going all out to stop these workers from unionizing, including blatant and illegal firings of union organizers.

In 2021 alone, Amazon spent $4.3 million on high paid union-busting consultants to undermine union drives around the country. Amazon would rather spend millions on spreading lies about unions and break the law than allow their workers to unionize because better pay and conditions would cut into Jeff Bezos’ profits.

Winning a union at KCVG would spark union drives at other facilities as it did after workers in New York won in 2022. But it will take a mass movement of workers, both union and non-union, to defeat Amazon.
