Another revolution hit the wireless industry on July 1. The fourth-generation wireless communications technology called LTE service kicked off. We will take a glimpse into the way LTE services can change our daily lives in the future.



As voice-central networks started to put more emphasis on data, wireless phones became able to perform an endless number of new tasks.



Now, the fourth-generation wireless communications technology called Long Term Evolution, or LTE, is bringing a huge change to everyday life as it pushes the previous boundaries of speed.



So how can the evolution from the third- to fourth-generation of wireless technology change our daily lives?

The biggest difference between 3G and 4G LTE is speed. Because it is at least 5 times faster, it can offer much more diverse services. In partiuclar, LTE has a very short lag time, so it is very suitable for real-time services.



Let's see the future of these fast, real-time services.

Based on the LTE service, we can conduct real-time video conference calls any where and watch high-quality video-on-demand from various devices.

The 4G wireless service is a mobile communications service that enables the use of the high-speed wireless Internet. Through the service, consumers can use high-quality video services and make video calls. Right now we only have modems but we'll be able to start services that allow for voice calls through mobile devices.



The start of the LTE service is great news for consumers who were left unsatisfied with the slow speed of the 3G smartphone Internet service.



Its speed is more than two times faster than the WiBro service that is currently available. Downloading a 1.4-gigabyte movie would only take 2 minutes and 100 400-megabyte music files a mere 40 seconds.



Compared with the 3G service, which would take about 15 minutes and 5 minutes, respectively, 4G is about five times faster.



The LTE service will bring transformations to everyday life by offering a high-speed mobile Internet. The market is looking forward to the new wireless environment bound to unfold with this new service.
