2 ALARM Fatal STRUCTURE FIRE Keyport, New Jersey 12/30/21

Around 12:10 AM County got a call for a reported fire with possible entrapment. On the arrival of the Chief, he noticed heavy fire in Div 1 & 2 of the fire building. Keyport Matawan Aberdeen Holmdel & Union Beach Rit to respond to the box alarm assignment. The first ladder 91 in front of the building was having water issues during the start of the fire. It was upgraded to a 2 ND Alarm and evac tones were put out due to probable collapse. Tinton Falls RIT was also dispatched to this fire. They had heavy fire conditions for most of the second floor. Finally, the building suffered a stairwell collapse and C side collapse. All members were accounted for and safe. About an hour of operating time to knock this stubborn fire. It also now confirmed this was a fatal fire with the two occupants inside. Prayers to the family and everyone involved. The cause of this fire is still yet unknown.
