Repairman's Overview: 1929 Conn New Wonder Transitional (4M) Curved Soprano

(Note: Honestly guys, this is not my best video. I'm currently overtired from two young kids that don't ever sleep at the same time, but I doubt I'll see one of these horns again for a while so I made a video anyways. I definitely missed some stuff and had a lot of pauses when I lost my train of thought. Hope you still find it useful. If I see another one of these in the future I'll do another video.)

Saxophone repairman Matt Stohrer doesn't go far beyond the bare minimum in this latest installment of Repairman's Overview, this time ogling and fondling a rare little beast, a 1929 Conn Curved Soprano of the New Wonder II Transitional with "Art Deco" engraving variety. Making an appearance alongside a run-of-the-mill (but beautiful and in pristine condition) New Wonder II curved soprano, some of the high points of the instrument are spoken about, and honestly some stuff just gets left out. But maybe you'll like it anyways.

Things I missed/should have mentioned:
bis design is also different between the two, as is the construction of the low Bb key (check out the different angles of the key arm)
"Art Deco" engraving as far as I can tell comes in first on the curved sopranos, then later on the altos and tenors
the bell-to-body brace looked bent on the transitional/art deco/4M, but there was no damage evident and the keys were centered over the toneholes and would have been off-center if I straightened it to match the earlier one, so I left it. Not sure what the deal was there.
almost certainly some other stuff, but I'm tired now and want to go to sleep
