Don't use Noctua fans for your Synology - use these instead! [Lower noise, better temperatures]

Описание к видео Don't use Noctua fans for your Synology - use these instead! [Lower noise, better temperatures]

Hello Frens,
In this follow-up video, I’m taking a closer look at one of the key upgrades from my NAS project: swapping out the swapped out fansfans for deeper, more powerful ones. If you’re passionate about optimizing your homelab, overclocking, or just pushing your hardware to the next level, this shallow dive into fan performance is for you.

I'm using Arctic S8038-7K fans, which you can see on the link below. Don't worry, it's not a affiliate link - I'm not important enough for that.

What makes these fans special? These new fans are significantly deeper, which allows them to move much more air at the same RPM levels compared to standard fans. This means better cooling performance without ramping up noise or power consumption—perfect for any setup where temperature control is crucial.

🎯 What to Expect:

- A Detailed Comparison: How these deeper fans stack up against the ones I replaced.
- Airflow and RPM: Analyzing the performance boost at identical RPM levels.
- Cooling Efficiency: Real-world tests showing the impact on system temperatures.
- Installation Tips: Getting the most out of your fan upgrade with proper setup.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade your NAS, PC, or server, this video offers valuable insights into why fan depth matters and how it can drastically improve your cooling strategy.
