Mesh Marina is a reggae-fusion band from Kingston, Jamaica, formed in April 2025. With six members, the group blends authentic reggae roots with global influences, quickly emerging as one of the island’s most exciting new acts.

At the forefront is 19-year-old Shennell, whose soulful yet modern voice, inspired by Whitney Houston, Bob Marley, and Marcia Griffiths, defines the band’s sound. Raised in Waterhouse, she naturally writes songs that reflect her moods and emotions.

The project was born when Shennell met guitarist Brian Jones and producer Mario C, envisioning a reggae-fusion style designed to connect Jamaican music with global audiences while staying true to its roots.

Their debut single, “Joke Dem a Joke,” released on August 2, 2025, has already surpassed 3 million views in under a month, gaining strong support from both street and radio DJs across Jamaica.
