Purpose: To remove 2-3% of organic paint layer and impurities such as sugar stains, moisture and dust from the surface of aluminum scrap.

Significance:
1. Direct smelting will bring harmful impurities and gases into the molten aluminum, which will affect the quality of aluminum alloys, and cannot be used to maintain grades, resulting in a decline in economic benefits;
2. The smelting of paint layer directly will emit harmful fumes, pollute the environment and endanger the health of operators;
3. The burning of the paint layer will cause the oxidation of aluminum, the recovery rate will be reduced, and the fire consumption will increase.

The complete process includes the following 5 steps:
1. Shredding - pre-shred the aluminum scrap into 50-100mm blocks;
2. Hammer crushing - further reduce the size of the aluminum blocks into 30mm around;
3. Magnetic separation - remove the iron;
4. Carbonization for paint removing;
5. Drum screening.
