After having gotten permission to enter the Blacklake District, we visit Aldanon the Sage and show him our shards, which he compares to a shard he also has. He tells us that the shards are pieces of a Githyanki Silver Sword, which is used to sever the silver chords connecting travelers on the Astral Plane to their bodies on the Material Plane. The Githyanki have assembled a team called Sword Stalkers that look for lost Silver Swords, and that's what they are doing here. We also learn that a former court wizard named Ammon Jerro used to possess a Silver Sword, and that he passed away some time ago. Also revealed is that he had a haven in an undisclosed location, which is probably mentioned in the Neverwinter Archives, so we head there next.

When we arrive at the Archives, we find we are too late as the Githyanki have stormed the place and are in control. We attack them, and kill all whom we encounter. In order to enter the central vault, we have to answer four puzzles within the stacks, which have answers located throughout the archives. After solving the puzzles and gaining entry to the vault, we find that the Githyanki learned the location of a relative of Ammon, who could lead them to the haven. We defeat the last stragglers but fail to prevent the information from getting out. Reading the information ourselves, we find that the location of the haven has been burned out, but the relative mentioned is none other than Shandra, so we head to her farm in an attempt to save her.

When we get to her farm, we are just in time to see Shandra run into her house with Githyanki chasing her. Some stay outside to attack us, but they go down quite easily, so we go inside and find more trying to get Shandra, so we take them out. Then the Githyanki try to smoke us out by setting fire to her house, so we run outside and fight some more there. However, I seem to run into a known bug at the end of the episode, where the cutscene with Shandra fails to fire. I will mention this in the next episode. If this happens to you, you'll need to open the console by pressing "~" and then typing:
