Close Encounters is a programme that tells the real stories from people who've had an experience with God. Hosted by Anne Donaldson each week, our guests not only divulge their stories, but also play some songs that are meaningful to them.

Andrew Boyd is an author, journalist and public speaker.
At the age of 12, Andrew was powerfully impacted by what he heard at a church meeting about God’s love. He was convinced of a spiritual dimension to life. He started to become interested in the occult - a misdirection which often left Andrew with a feeling of sadness, depression and suicide.

Shortly afterwards, he went to a gathering of Christian students at a university ready to argue with them about their faith – and was again powerfully impacted by the love of God – But was dramatically changed. He became a journalist and a trainer of broadcasters and has used his skills over many years to speak up for persecuted Christians around the world.
