Let’s hear from Aashna Anandani, a performance student at GMI from the batch of 2025. A vocalist whose time at GMI has been about exploration, discipline, and learning how to connect honestly through music, and explore it at a multidimensional level.

Aashna comes with years of training in Hindustani classical music and an interest in performing across genres — from Bollywood and pop to R&B and soul. During her journey at GMI, she focused on developing versatility while staying attentive to emotion, storytelling, and stage presence.

Influenced by artists like Sunidhi Chauhan and Adele, Aashna enjoys experimenting with fusion and contemporary sounds, always with an emphasis on feeling rather than form. At GMI, she found space to grow, collaborate, and better understand her own artistic voice.

In this Student Speak, Aashna talks about her journey through GMI, the experiences that shaped her as a musician, and how she’s carrying those learnings forward.
