Title: Ferrero Roaches: A Bug’s Eye View

This is a literary adaptation of the poem "A Eulogy of Roaches" by Bievenido Lumbera presented through a short film.

The prologue introduces us to modern society from two contrasting perspectives: the rich and powerful, and the cold and mistreated. Two sides that will one day collide, bringing forth enlightment and maybe, justice. This adaptation aims to represent the perspectives of the oppressed and the oppressors individually through skits and songs created by the group. Each stanza will be seen through the lens of both perspectives to entail the gravity of the gap between the two sides of our socity, and how ironic the reality is; how the roaches of our society fester in the very paradigm of our community, while those who are treated as roaches are the real victims who receive consequences from the residue left behind the avaricious oppressors. The epilogue will mark the crossing of the oppressed and the oppressor's paths and will showcase the clash between the two in talks of existing societal issues. This will solidify the mere fact that a gap does exist between social classes and will not cease its widening anytime soon without concrete measures.
