You can give babe a bottle of expressed breastmilk or formula in the night and have a baby that nurses well too.

Here is how➡️

✅if you want to give expressed breastmilk- pump during baby’s first nap and give that milk at night. You don’t need to get up to pump unless your baby is under 12 weeks and sleeping through the night except for that one bottle. If they are- I would pump once in the night because your supply is stabilizing for long term.

If they get up twice or more and only one of those feeds is a bottle, no need to get up and pump, just nurse baby the next time.

✅if it is a bottle of formula.. the same applies. If the baby is under 12 weeks and sleeping through I would pump once at some point in the night.

If you have been having any breastfeeding challenges with supply I would add the one pumping session in the day to maintain your supply and so that baby doesn’t learn to prefer the bottle.
