The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in partnership with the Wilde Ganzen Foundation and the Change the Game Academy organised a training on Local Fundraising for Ten (10) organisations in Ghana. The overall objective of the programme is to empower local civil society working at the grassroots to rethink power and resources to ensure that people and communities can drive their own development.

Specific Objectives:

The specific objectives of the programme are to:

Address local fundraising issues facing community-based organisations and the broader civil society community;

Strengthen the participants’ knowledge and skills to successfully raise funds and diversify resource streams;

Provide participating organisations with requisite knowledge, skills and techniques to effectively engage a broad range of stakeholders to influence policy-making processes at local, national level;

Strengthen the marketing of the online platform and enhance the skills of the pool of trainers through training of trainers’ opportunities and learning visits.
