The Nick Green Game (Part 3 of 3)

This 2004 game between the Atlanta Braves and Montreal Expos was the second leg of a real coming-out party for Nick Green of the Braves. He had only recently been called up to the Bigs and had hit a 3-run home run the previous day. Because of this, and his Georgia connections, the Braves announcers, Pete Van Wieren and Don Sutton, seemed to be clairvoyant in the sense that they talked about him throughout the whole game, as if he was predestined to do what he eventually ended up doing (see Nick Green Game Part 3). Unfortunately, this was also perhaps the summit of Green’s career (he had a pretty decent year with Boston in 2009 though, and he played on and off in the Majors until 2013).
