Go For It Goemon: Nightmare in the Dimensional Castle (がんばれゴエモン 次元城の悪夢, Ganbare Goemon Jigen Shiro no Akumu) is an original video animation (OVA) made in 1991 by KONAMI & AIC Studios.

Synopsis:
Goemon and Ebisumaru are called to adventure when Omitsu gets kidnapped by a strange creature! The duo are lead to investigate a mysterious castle that seemly appeared from the sky, and end up having a bit of a nightmare as they visit some unique places.

History:
This OVA was created as part of a campaign by KONAMI to commemorate Goemon's 5th anniversary, and originally was only obtainable as a lottery prize. The lottery (which ran from November 1991 to February 1992) had 2,000 copies of the OVA to be won.

To enter the lottery participants had to mail in two of three character coupons which were only included in the box of the following Ganbare Goemon games:

Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyūshutsu Emaki (がんばれゴエモン ゆき姫救出絵巻)
Ganbare Goemon: Sarawareta Ebisumaru (がんばれゴエモン さらわれたエビス丸)
Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2: Tenka no Zaihō (がんばれゴエモン外伝2〜天下の財宝〜)

In March 1993, a year after the original lottery, the OVA became available in stores priced at ¥4,800 ($40). The cover artwork of this standard version differs from its 1992 lottery counterpart, though the animation contents are exactly the same.

In late 1994 the tape once again became a lottery prize as KONAMI commemorated the release of SNES title Ganbare Goemon 3: Shishijūrokubē no Karakuri Manji Gatame (がんばれゴエモン3 獅子重禄兵衛のからくり卍固め).

Early copies of GG3 had a coupon printed on the back page of the manual which could be cut-out and mailed in to KONAMI. The lottery deadline was January 31st, 1995, with just 100 positions available to win. Winners would also receive a copy of KONAMI's other original video animation "TwinBee: WinBee's ⅛ Panic".

Since this animation only saw release on VHS, that's the "highest-quality" available to us. As a result, there are some artefacts and distortions associated with the old analogue format.
