Top 5 Tallest living men in Africa

Today the man who holds the Guiness world record for tallest living man is Sultan Kösen from Turkey, standing at 2.51m (8 ft 3’’), and It’ll interest you to know that the second tallest living man in the world is an African.

1. BRAHIM TAKIOLLAH
Brahim Takioullah was born in Guelmim, Morocco, in 1982. At the age of 18, he had been asked by his school doctor to get a blood test, for his "unusual" size. Diagnosed with acromegaly, Takioullah, in a single year had 1cm (3.3 ft) high growth spurt. Today, he is the tallest man in Africa.
Brahim Takioullah was formerly the Guiness World record holder for world’s largest feet on a living person, surpassing former record-holder, Sultan Kösen, on 24 May 2011. His shoe size is size 58, with his left foot measuring 38.1 centimetres (1 ft 3’’), and his right 37.5 centimetres (1 ft 2.8’’).
With a height of 2.46 metres (8 ft 1’’), Takioullah is the second–tallest living person in the world, behind Sultan Kösen of Turkey.


2. Radhouane Charbib
Radhouane Charbib, born October 27, 1968 in Tunisia, was recognized by the Guinness world Book of Records as the tallest living man in Africa and in the world, not until January 15, 2005, when Bao Xishun was measured at Chifeng City Hospital, Inner Mongolia, China, and was recorded as being 2 millimetres taller.
With a height of 2.36m (7 ft 9’’), Radhouane charbib is the second tallest person in Africa.

3. Hussein Mohamed Bisad
Born in 1975, in Somalia, 46-year-old Hussein Mohamed Bisad is the tallest man in Somalia and also one of the tallest in the world. Being 2.35m (7 ft 8.5’’) tall, in 2002, Bisad spoke optimistically about earning a distinction in the book of “Guinness World Records.” “I’m still growing and getting taller every year,” he boasted in an interview with a local newspaper that was documented by the BBC.
He held the record for the largest hands of anyone alive until Sultan Kosen, the present tallest man in the world came to take the record. His hands are 26.9cm long. He wears size 50, and weighs 210kg.


4. Elhadji Tacko Sereigne
Elhadji Tacko Sereigne, popularly known as Tacko Fall, born December 10, 1995, is a Senegalese professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the NBA. Fall was born and raised in Dakar, Senegal. He moved to the United States at age 16 and later played college basketball for the University of Central Florida. Fall went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, but later signed with the Boston Celtics.
Tacko Fall is the tallest living current NBA player and is one of the tallest living humans. His measurements at the 2019 NBA Draft, set all-time NBA records for tallest height in shoes at 2.31m (7 ft 7’’), and highest standing reach at 3.11m (10 ft 2.5’’ ). Tacko Fall without shoes stands at 2.26m (7 ft 5’’), making him the tallest in Senegal and 4th tallest in Africa.



5. Agoro Hafiz
Afeez Agoro was born in the city of Sabo Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria on 13 December 1975 as the last child of three children for his mother who was the second wife of his late father.
Agoro had a normal growth until he developed an ailment at the age of nineteen and when taking to a hospital, was diagnosed with Acromegaly, known commonly as gigantism, which made him grow vertically at a very rapid rate. Agoro unsuccessfully tried to combat the ailment and currently stands at 2.24m (7 ft 4”) which makes him the tallest man in Nigeria and 5th on this list of the tallest men in Africa.
