Introducing Transparent Reverb Plugin - Combining Space and Clarity

Описание к видео Introducing Transparent Reverb Plugin - Combining Space and Clarity

Transparent Reverb is a new plugin we just created. You can use it to give a sense of space without losing clarity. Usually when you add reverb, the sound source is pushed back and perceived as if from a distance, quickly becoming too muddy.
There are ways to overcome this with sidechain and/or volume automation. Another common practice is to replace reverb with delays in order to get the clearest sound possible.
In this plugin we develop a different approach which makes the reverb less destructive by itself. It basically adds some space without changing spatial imaging of the track.
The basic idea of the effect is that noises and transients have a bigger masking impact compared to tonal sounds and at the same time they are crucial to the sense of clarity and distance. So the plugin has a transparency control which operates as a gate that suppresses these sounds in reverberation.
The gate has two controls: the level of suppression and sensitivity threshold. The controls are supposed to be placed together in the same transparency section indicated by the white bars, however it’s not a strict rule by any means.
