Novotel Southampton - a good value pre-cruise hotel!

I have stayed in nearly every hotel known to Southampton and I've now stayed in the Novotel! This is supposed to be a step up from the Ibis next door, but is it? Come with me and explore the hotel, an executive room, the venues and facilities including pool, sauna, "gymnausium", restaurant and bar. We talk short and long term parking plus the location of the Novotel in relation to the cruise terminals. The question is, do we . you think this is a good value pre and / or post-cruise hotel?
