Hey everyone! This isn’t a well-washing tool—it’s a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) reamer, the ultimate road-saving hack for laying sewage pipes underground! First, drill a tiny pilot hole under the pavement, attach this reamer to the drill pipe. It spins to cut soil, while high-pressure water turns dirt into slurry and flushes it out. Widen the hole until it fits the pipe, then pull the pipe through—no road damage, no traffic jams! Total urban construction black tech! But what if we hit soil blockages or big rocks?

HDD is a trenchless pipe-laying staple, and tackling underground obstacles is make-or-break for the project. Engineers have a 3-level game plan:

Level 1: Routine Fixes (Soft Soil & Small Rocks)

1. Optimize drilling fluid to carry cuttings and stabilize the hole.
2. Do pull-back & push-forward moves to clear clogs.
3. Swap for a tricone or carbide-tooth reamer, or use a hole cleaner first.

Level 2: Hardcore Solutions (Large Rocks)

1. Use GPR to locate the obstacle, then dig a small working pit to remove it manually.
2. Use a pneumatic mole or down-the-hole hammer to shatter deep rocks.
3. Adjust the pilot hole trajectory to detour giant obstacles.

Level 3: Last Resorts (Stuck Drill)

1. Try reverse circulation flushing to free the drill.
2. Drill a lateral bypass hole around the stuck point.
3. As a final move, grout the stuck drill in place and start a new borehole nearby.
