Ultimate 12V Hybrid Dual Battery Systems – Built for the Bush, the Boat, and Beyond
Introducing our latest 12V Hybrid 180Ah and 260Ah Dual Battery Systems – purpose-built for under-bonnet, marine, and RV installations. These rugged systems now come equipped with our powerful, integrated 80V/20A MPPT solar regulators, laser welded cell packs and fully sealed IP-68 electronics giving you serious off-grid capability. And thanks to a dedicated shunt, you can now monitor incoming solar power directly via the DCS Lithium Bluetooth App – because what good’s a solar system if you can’t brag about it on your phone?
Each system includes either 2 x DCS 12V 90Ah or 2 x DCS 12V 130Ah Hybrid batteries, depending on the setup you choose. One’s a Right-Hand Positive, the other a Left-Hand Positive – so they slot in side-by-side like they were meant to be, joined together with our included bus-bars for a neat and efficient parallel install. The solar MPPT input is integrated into one of the batteries, and we supply an IP67-rated aviation to Anderson cable for true plug-and-play solar connection – just point your panels at the sun and you’re off to the races.
Every DCS Dual Battery System (DBS) includes a fully programmed Victron Smart Battery Protect (SBP), which acts as a smart load disconnect to reserve battery capacity for cranking your engine – because running your fridge is great, but starting your 4WD on a cold morning is better. The SBP only draws 1.2mA when active and automatically manages usage by allowing you to cycle the top 80% of capacity for accessories, while the bottom 20% is kept in reserve for engine starting. We suggest installing the SBP inside the cabin and using it to protect as many light loads as you can – think USB ports, lighting, dash cams, fridges, UHFs, Cel-Fi units… anything under 300W. Got a hefty inverter? Wire it direct to the batteries to keep things running smooth.

With the 260Ah Hybrid System installed in parallel, you can safely charge at up to 210A from your vehicle's alternator.

All DCS batteries use high-performance cylindrical cells in a robust mechanical layout that allows for fast, efficient recharging – no need to fork out for a bigger alternator. In fact, our batteries perform best with standard OEM alternators. If your vehicle’s running one of those "lazy" smart alternators, just throw on a quality 400W+ solar panel. Our MPPT regulator is no slouch – capable of pulling in over 100Ah per day, easily enough to keep your fridge happy and your beers cold.
