Tips for Better Cooking with Twig and Wood Gas Stoves

Описание к видео Tips for Better Cooking with Twig and Wood Gas Stoves

In this video, I am showing my favorite way of using a Wood Gas Stove or a Twig Stove when I need to do more advanced cooking than boiling water.
Building the fuel in this way has a few benefits.
- Less foraging
- Only a few chops
- Burns hot at first, for boiling or quickly heating food
- Burns longer but not as hot, perfect for simmering, frying and roasting nuts
- Gives long-lasting embers for warmth

Remember to only use a wood gas stove on non-flammable ground. They get very hot underneath, especially when fired for a while.

The stove used in the video is the Toaks STV-11 Wood Gas Stove. You may also see a spirit bottle for my Toaks siphon burner that I brought as backup in case of downpour.
Tent in the background is my Naturehike Cloud Up 1, a neat little solo-camping tent that I bring on these shorter excursions.

The weird pants and shoes I have on are my Waders. :D
