Halo Infinite's Progression & Customization is Atrocious

Initially I was willing to give Halo Infinite a pass for being free, but the more I think about it, the worse I realize the implementation is. Even if all of the monetary aspects of this system were to be removed, it would still be broken and flawed in the face of Halo's legacy.

The armor coatings and armor cores are everything Halo isn't, and that's restrictive. I don't know how anyone could pass this off as allowing players more freedom, but in its current state, it's atrocious. And the more that is added to the system, the worse it'll be. Unless something is changed radically for the customization and progression system as a whole, it's going to remain that way.

Leveling up faster will not solve the problem, removing color palettes will not solve the problem, removing armor cores will not solve the problem, and removing the monetization will not solve the problem. A combination of all of these would solve the problem. But then how would poor old Microsoft get their money?
