On 22/2/1984 there was an EPLA offensive on the Northeastern Sahil Front, that didn't go as planned. A month later on 19-20 March 1984, the EPLA mounted a successful offensive that cleared the enemy from the entire Northeastern Sahil Front, liberating Awget and Marsa Teklay. In this battle the EPLA managed to put 6000 soldiers out of use; captured 15 tanks, 7 armoured vehicles, 7 anti-tank weapons, 80 different vehicles and many more armaments. 225 Eritrean tegadelti lost their lives to achieve this victory. In the February attempt there were 171 tegadelti that had lost their lives
The video was produced in 2014 for the 30th anniversary of this battle that is considered as the turning point in the war for independence. The first of this video has a reenactment of the February 20, 1984 attempt.
