History was made this morning, as Nitro World Games athletes performed a gravity-defying, world first stunt, completing a synchronised double backflip train over the spectacular medieval castle at Caerphilly, to promote the Nitro World Games 2020 taking place on 23rd and 24th May in Cardiff.

Nitro World Games pulled out all of the stops for this never-seen-before stunt, as three of the world’s best FMX riders took to the ramp for the display to perform one of the most difficult and dangerous tricks in FMX, in train. Jackson Strong, Josh Sheehan and Luc Ackermann perfected the double backflips at soaring heights, in train for the first time ever, all in front of the stunning Welsh backdrop.

To continue the celebrations, Nitro World Games are tonight hosting a Night Jam for the general public, which will see a spectacular performance from a selection of Nitro riders as they take over the castle to show off their skills. The jam session is open to the general public from 6:30pm at Caerphilly Castle.

The Nitro World Games is the biggest action sports competition in the world with 100 athletes competing in a range of disciplines including BMX, FMX, Skate and Scooter. It’s arrival in Wales marks a major step for the games as they leave the US for the first time to take place at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, cementing Wales as the no.1 action sports destination in the UK.
