Medical Guardian sells six medical alert systems (#medicalalertsystem). This video reviews the three on-the-go medical alert systems: Mobile Guardian, Active Guardian, and the Freedom Guardian. Even though the three devices are designed as on-the-go, portable systems, they can also protect seniors inside their homes as well.
When needed, you can call for help with the simple touch of a button. The call center has your information, so they know who’s calling and your medical situation. You can even call for non-emergency help as well. And, with optional fall detection, most of these devices will call for help even when you can’t.
Except for the smartwatch and some optional jewelry, the equipment you need comes to you free of charge. You don’t even pay for activation, only for the service. And you don’t have to sign a long-term contract that forces you to keep paying when you want to stop!
All three of these on-the-go devices rely on a nationwide cellular network. You don’t need to have a cell phone or pay for extra cellphone service.
The Mobile Guardian's two-way speaker with adjustable volume will connect you through a cellular signal with one of their accredited, US-based call centers, which are open around-the-clock. There, trained professionals will contact first responders such as EMT’s, police, or firefighters if the customer requests.
If they can’t hear you, they’ll call your designated phone number to check up on your well-being. If they don’t reach you, they’ll send emergency services to the location of the Mobile Guardian. Thanks to GPS, the system can pinpoint your location even if you can’t communicate or don’t know where you are!
The Active Guardian, which Medical Guardian states is its most popular system, demonstrates the old chestnut that, “Good things come in small packages.” Under three inches tall and weighing in at around 2.6 ounces, this tiny titan is small enough to be worn by the user around their neck on a lanyard, but big enough to include:
Both GPS and WiFi location technologies to minimize the time needed to find a person in distress;
A battery that will power the unit for up to 5 days;
It’s water-resistant, so you can wear it in the shower.
The Freedom Guardian is both a medical alert device and a smartwatch, so you can wear an alert device discreetly, and use it daily, not just for emergencies.
