The Portland Design Works Radbot 1000 tail light is a 1-watt LED with nice large reflector below the LED. This combination provides great visibility for those dusk to dawn rides and even in daylight is quite visible. The light is powered by 2-AAA batteries and you can expect at least 50 hours of use and probably more. There is also an assortment of mounting hardware included to allow you to attach the tail light to the seatpost, seatstay or clipped on to a seat bag.

Compared to the worthy PlanetBike Blinky Superflash, the Radbot 1000 is brighter but not necessarily a Superflash slayer. What I like about the Superflash is the additional 2-LED lights that flash opposite the main 1/2 watt strobing LED. Both are great lights but the Radbot 1000 deservers your consideration.
