”United by History!” is a project which main aim is a celebration of the 450. anniversary of The Union of Lublin and the Polish-
Lithuanian friendship. It is a time for 20 young people from Poland and Lithuania to realise what exactly history means and how
important is a cultural and historical heritage of both countries. Within the activities of this project participants will createmonidlo
and they will prepare happening in the centre of Lublin. They will wear outfits which will resemble pictures from the times when
the Union of Lublin was signed. In the eve of 450. anniversary of the Union of Lublin they will encourage pedestrians and
tourists to have fun and celebrate with the anniversary. They will also encourage everybody to take a photo with the handmade
monidlo (a board with holes for faces in it). As a result of gratitude for 450 years of common history the monidlo will be handed
in to the authorities of Lublin city. In order to extend the range of the event the coverage of the happening will be prepared and
send to media. The video with the summary of the project will be prepared and disseminated among youth organizations in
Poland and Lithuania.
