Two of the very best technical wrestlers of all time. And two quite different approaches to technical wrestling. You can really see the difference when you compare Dory's Southern style of technical and hard-hitting wrestling, when compared to the more European, flashier style of Robinson's wrestling which he got from years of training in catch-as-catch-can. With both of them being perfectly balanced between the technique-focused mat wrestling and the more rough and tough, hard-hitting one with the uppercuts, big forearms and huge slams.
Despite Dory not being formally trained in wrestling, he never seemed out of place against Billy, even for a second. You could say the same about his matches with Jack Brisco. They had such a great chemistry and I wish we had more footage of the two wrestling. It's a rivalry that doesn't get talked about enough, and it should be as it is fantastic. Words don't do it justice, so go and watch these matches in full if you want the whole experience. Brilliant stuff.
