Kyrie Irving is a Flat Earther, and just flat wrong!

Cleveland Cavaliers star made headlines at the NBA All-Star game last weekend in New Orleans, and it was not for his exceptional basketball skills.

He proclaimed his "Flat Earth" stance on the Road Trippin' with RJ & Channing podcast with teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye:

"This is not even a conspiracy theory. The Earth is flat... I'm telling you, it's right in front of our faces. They lie to us."

After the podcast, he reaffirmed his beliefs to Arash Markazi on ESPN:

"I think people should do their own research, man. Hopefully they'll either back my belief or they'll throw it in the water. But I think it's interesting for people to find out on their own. I've seen a lot of things that my educational system has said that was real that turned out to be completely fake. I don't mind going against the grain in terms of my thoughts."

The unofficial spokesperson for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron James defended Kyrie Irving saying:

"Kyrie is my little brother. If he decides the Earth is flat, that's OK."

The weirdest part about this is that Kyrie Irving is from Australia... so what does he think happens when he visits home? Color us confused.
