Monday has come and gone, and here we are still with no deal. The tennis match continues!

At this point it seems both sides do not want the other to get the credit for helping the people. They are more concerned about winning the battle than they are providing aid.

Where it sits there is around $100-$400 billion dollars already approved from the Cares Act that could help the people now.

However, unless used this $100-$400 billion is actually going to be reallocated to the second stimulus package.

Democrat Yang tweeted out to Pelosi telling her to take the Republicans $1.8 trillion dollar deal.
Yang said quote “Put politics aside, people are hurting”.

The latest $1.8 trillion dollar package put forth by the Republicans offers a lower overall price, but what I found interesting was it actually offers more direct money to the people.

This proposal boosts dependent stimulus payments to $1000 per dependent as opposed to the heroes Act at $500 per dependent. Both bills would cover all dependents, no matter age. A major difference from the first round of checks, that only focused on dependents that were 17 and under.

The Republicans $1.8 trillion dollar bill does have a lower unemployment boost at $400 a week though. This is $200 down from the democrats plan of $600 per week.

Money for Trump's executive order has run out in most states by now and even a $400 per week boost would make a huge difference.

Livelihood really should be the focus here. Many of those that can’t go back to work or lost their jobs are in this situation because of the regulations that keep businesses closed or working at half capacity.

Finally our last piece of news, the debates scheduled for October 15th have been cancelled after the president declined to do a virtual debate. This leaves the next debate to be on October 22nd.
