Who were the original Sith? The Sith civilization began around 100,000 BBY, when a violent, red-skinned, humanoid species evolved on the planet Korriban. By 30,000 BBY, during their pre-industrial age, they repelled an incursion from the Killiks. In 28,000 BBY, King Adas rose to power, uniting the Sith and establishing the first Sith Empire.

Three hundred years later, the Sith encountered the Rakata and their Infinite Empire, who initially offered knowledge but were prepared for conquest. King Adas resisted, defeating the Rakata at the cost of his life. Using Rakatan technology, the Sith entered a space age, expanding their empire and moving the capital to Ziost. But the empire could not stand after Adas’ death, and it devolved into civil war. And in 7,000 BBY, their homeworld of Korriban was left in ruins. It wasn’t until around 6,900 BBY that exiled Dark Jedi from the Hundred Year Darkness arrived, subjugating the Sith, and launching the millennia long conflict between the Jedi and Sith.
