Highlights and Mishaps from the 2008 Chunk!

Bridgeville, Delaware, was host to the 23rd Annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin from October 31st to November 2nd 2008.

125 teams came to see who can throw a pumpkin furthest, with the record standing at almost one mile.

The event draws crowds in excess of 60,000 and the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association donates close to $80,000 annually to local and national charities and scholarship funds.

Admire the creativity and craftsmanship of machines of all costs, shapes and sizes, which propel pumpkins weighing from 2 to 10 pounds in a variety of innovative ways.
