(4 Mar 2018) LAST MINUTE PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR 90TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS
Last minute preparations are underway for the 90th annual Academy Awards. Hollywood's big night takes place at the Dolby Theatre where workers were vacumming the red carpet prior to celebrity arrivals and media crews were setting up.
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the ceremony which will be broadcast live on ABC in the U.S.at 8 p.m. EST.
  
Kimmel will be tasked with not just ensuring the correct winners are read Sunday (04MAR2018) - following  the stunning envelope fiasco that closed last year's show -  but also with confronting a traumatic year for Hollywood. No dress-code protest is planned by Time's Up organizers, as happened at January's Golden Globes.
  
The night's top honor, best picture, is considered especially up for grabs this year, with contenders including "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," ''The Shape of Water" and "Get Out."
