Functions of Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) in easy way | Part-1

Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) comprises of two divisions : sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Both of these systems function in our body to produce homeostasis, a balance in the cellular activities. Adrenaline is a hormone that increases the heart rate and relaxation of smooth muscle like bronchioles and it is released by stimulation of sympathetic system. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter involved with parasympathetic division but it may also be linked with sympathetic division at few locations.
