When I read professional literature, a book that I can use to improve my #mediator’s #skills, I usually create a 📝note and write quotes that I will be able to use later in my #medion practice. In the case of Gerry O’Sullivan 📖“The Mediator’s Toolkit” that didn’t work: after I'd read about 50 pages, I understood that I made some notes from almost every page.

This book is full of 💎gems for me. I have already found:
💎 the clear and simple description of the processes that happen in a human's brain and body when a conflict evolves and how they change when a mediator starts helping clients to transform the conflict
💎 the explanation of how social drivers affect us and how we can use this knowledge fruitfully during the mediation process
💎 the specific examples of what is effective and what is not during mediation, based on the practical experience of the highly professional mediator
💎 several extremely powerful practice tools, like the "Journey of Inference" and "Cognitive elements questions"

My delight is so high that I wanted to share it with you.

And the cherry on the pie was the opportunity to test all the instruments I got from the book personally with the author, Gerry O'Sullivan, and a group of 8 mediators from all over the world during the online training "The S Questions Model Based on the Book: The Mediator's Toolkit: Formulating and Asking Questions for Successful Outcomes". Gerry showed us the nuances of using techniques and let us try them on herself during the short simulations, gently correcting us when we started sliding from the track.

This was an exciting, valuable, and extremely inspiring experience when the book came alive!
