Hello friends! Welcome back! Lincoln is our younger dog, at 5 years old and he has always been an anxious and nervous dog. One of the hardest things we had to do with him was trim his nails. We took him to the groomer one time and it didn't work out with all parties involved. We also didn't want to sedate him every time he needed a nail trim. We worked long and hard on getting him used to feeling and grabbing on his paws, the noise of the grinder and even clipping his nails. We found that the noise from clipping his nails stressed him and now we only use the grinder. What we found is that sometimes he is okay with it and sometimes he isn't. On the days that he isn't, we just use the The Doggie Lift (not sponsored). My husband found this online while searching for ways to carry Lincoln to trim his nails and it's worked perfectly ever since. As you can see, Lincoln is not stressed or fighting because we also went through the steps of getting him used to the lift. It took some time but now he is comfortable with it. We use it primarily when Lincoln is a little too jumpy or extra nervous. It does not hurt him. This lift is able to hold up to 150 pounds. Lincoln currently weighs around 90 pounds. At the end of every session, he gets highly rewarded for a job well done.
