Fasting. It’s something we’ve all heard about… but I wonder how many of us truly understand it or have actually stepped into it?

The beautiful thing is, fasting isn’t just for “super spiritual” people or moments of crisis. It’s for all of us. Jesus said when you fast, not if. Fasting is one of the most powerful ways to draw close to God, hear His voice, and let Him work in your life in ways you didn’t expect.In this episode, I share what biblical fasting really is (and isn’t), how to start, and how it’s changed my walk with Jesus. I pray it encourages you to try, even if it just starts as one day, God will meet you there.

Behold, in the day of your fast you seek your own pleasure, and oppress all your workers. Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight and to hit with a wicked fist. Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord? Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?”
