Design a Green Concrete Mix Using ACI Code| Mix Specifications and Proportion| Solved Problem

Описание к видео Design a Green Concrete Mix Using ACI Code| Mix Specifications and Proportion| Solved Problem

In this video we will learn how to design a green concrete mix using ACI Code -211. We will learn about blending of aggregates, required average compressive strength, nominal maximum aggregate size, air content, workability requirement, water cement ratio and finally proportion of mixture using weight batching to find ingredients required to design concrete mix using ACI Code

Question: Given reinforced slabs of a hotel near Burj Al Arab, Dubai. The reinforcement consists of #8 bars with 150 mm center-to-center spacing. Rebar cover is 30 mm, and the slab thickness is 200 mm. No exposure conditions are needed.

Find weights of water (Wwater), cement (Wcement), coarse aggregates (Wcoarse aggregates), fine aggregates (Wfine aggregates)
Consider GGBS for designing a Green Concrete Mix

Design a Concrete Mix having cube compressive strength of 25 Mpa and GGBS of cementitious materials = 40%

3 types of concrete specimens will be casted for each group:
Four cubes (150mm x150mm x150mm) Testing: 2 @ 14 days for compression and NDT & 2 @ 28 days for compression
Two cylinders (200mm height x 100mm diameter) Testing (1 @ 28 days for compression, 1 @ 28 days for indirect tensile)
One beam: (100mm x 100mm x 500 mm length) Testing: (1 @ 28 days for flexural strength)
