Black seas 3500 point battle. British vs Franco-Spanish in a fictional engagement using house rules

Описание к видео Black seas 3500 point battle. British vs Franco-Spanish in a fictional engagement using house rules

This is a battle report from the 6th battle in our Mediterranean campaign 1803-1805. It's the fleet action of march the 3rd 1804 in the Spanish sea. A fictional engagement. The British fielded a fleet of just over 3500 points while the Franco-Spanish managed to keep it at just 3500 points. Each battle in the campaign leads on to another and which one that is played depends on the outcome of the previous one.

These are the rules for this particular battle. It's a bit different from the other battles in our campaign in that most of the fleet will not be drawn from the campaign pool of ships or the points in it. You had the option of fielding frigates from your pool. As it is a bit risky to act as a commutations frigate in such a large engagement it was decided that this battle would award an experience point instead of the normal 1. The British players choose to field 2 frigates from their pool while the Franco-Spanish choose to field none, instead using only ship bough for this particular battle.

As I grew tired of my voice, I ended up text to speech for the subtitles. I hope you find this ok even though it end up sounding wonky a few times. Also the video quality isn't great, for that last part filmed with my cellphone its ok, but the dji action 2 camera does not lend itself well to something like this, lesson learned. Also filming the whole 5 hour session took a lot of sd cards, so much so that we ran out and had to use the cell phone. I guess I might try my wife´s Nikon or some such next time. 55
