गोवर्धन जी बड़ी परिक्रमा, विस्तार से दर्शन एवं वर्णन (Part-1)

यह भगवान श्री कृष्ण की लीलास्थली है। यहीं पर भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने द्वापर युग  में ब्रजवासियों को इन्द्र के प्रकोप से बचाने के लिये गोवर्धन पर्वत अपनी कनिष्ठ अंगुली पर उठाया था। गोवर्धन पर्वत को भक्तजन गिरिराज जी भी कहते हैं।

सदियों से यहां दूर-दूर से भक्तजन गिरिराज जी की परिक्रमा करने आते रहे हैं। यह ७ कोस की परिक्रमा लगभग २१ किलोमीटर की है। मार्ग में पड़ने वाले प्रमुख स्थल आन्यौर, गोविन्द कुंड, पूंछरी का लौठा,जतिपुरा राधाकुंड, कुसुम सरोवर, मानसी गंगा, दानघाटी इत्यादि हैं।

परिक्रमा जहां से शुरू होती है वहीं पर एक प्रसिद्ध मंदिर भी है जिसे दानघाटी मंदिर कहा जाता है।

This is the Leelasthali of Lord Shri Krishna. It is here that Lord Krishna raised the Govardhan mountain on his smallest finger to save the people of Braj from the wrath of Indra in the Dwapar Yuga. The Govardhan mountain is also called by the devotees of Giriraj.

For centuries, devotees from far and wide have been coming here to circumambulate Giriraj ji. This 7 kos circumambulation is about 21 kms. Major places falling on the route are Anyaur, Govind Kund, Poonchri ka Lotha, Jatipura Radhakund, Kusum Sarovar, Mansi Ganga, Dan Ghati etc.

From where the parikrama begins, there is also a famous temple called Danghati Temple.
