I purchased a Jetson bolt Pro E bike refurbished for $249. The bike is not designed to go off road. However, I live near a river and was curious if I could ride my Jetson along the bank in the field. The ground is rough and uneven and not suitable but I thought I would try it anyway. In addition, there is a path worn in the field from automobiles and golf carts, leaving a gravel rut in the field. I decided to try and ride the Jetson in that gravel path after I tried writing it in the field.
The ride was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable and I think it could be damaging to the bicycle over a long. Of time. However, I would wear out before the bike.
