Karnataka Health Department has intensified surveillance efforts after the death of a student due to the NIPAH Virus in Kerala. 24-year-old, post-graduate student studying in Bengaluru was originally from Malappuram. Health Officials are tracking 30 people who attended his funeral along with 3 people who visited him in the hospital, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao also ensured that none out of the 28 identified contacts have shown any symptoms.
