Mickey Arthur, the consultant director for the Pakistan cricket team, has arrived in Islamabad and will join the team during the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. The team will travel to Rawalpindi for their next two games and will meet Arthur, who is here for a short period and will soon travel back to fulfill his duties as the head coach of Derbyshire.

Arthur was recently appointed as the consultant team director by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In a recent interview, the PCB management committee chairman, Najam Sethi, stated that Arthur was scheduled to arrive in Lahore on April 18.

"Two of the foreign coaches have already arrived in Lahore, while Mickey Arthur is coming on April 18. He will also take charge in one or two matches of the series against the Kiwis," Sethi said.

"The main purpose of his visit is to prepare his team, train them and brief them. He will also discuss his plans with Babar Azam and other players," he added.
