ICT Balanced Price Range (BPR) — Trading Strategy Guide
The Balanced Price Range (BPR) is an Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concept that identifies a zone of price imbalance created when two opposing market structures overlap. It often acts as a premium/discount rebalancing zone where price later returns to rebalance before continuing in the original direction.
📌 1. What is a Balanced Price Range (BPR)?
A BPR forms when price creates two overlapping candles in opposite directions:
Example (Bullish BPR):
Price makes a displacement down (bearish candle)
Immediately followed by a displacement up (bullish candle)
The overlapping range between these two candles is the BPR zone
This zone becomes a bullish support zone where price may return to rebalance before moving higher.
Example (Bearish BPR):
Up candle → Down candle
Overlap = Bearish BPR (acts as resistance)

🧠 Market Logic Behind BPR
A BPR forms when:
Institutions aggressively shift positions
The rapid move creates an inefficiency (market imbalance)
Overlapping wicks/bodies show where buy and sell orders remain unfilled
Price often returns to this region to:
