When you play darts for the first time, right after Tifa goes into the Avalanche "secret" base, you got some free time on your hands to move around with Cloud and one of the things you can use, is the dart board. Now if you notice the wall next to it, it has a ranking board showing Wedge as the #1 contender with 8 darts. In order to beat him, you need to finish the dart game with at least 7 or less dart throws.

Every dart you throw starts off at a random point on the board. Pretty straight forward, it'll have a circle around it and another one that dims out. You have a total of two complete dims, before your dart gets thrown automatically which gives you enough time to move the aim to the right position.

The easiest way to do this is to get it close enough with the left analog stick (default stick movement), and slowly fine tune it. Remember, you have two attempts, so if you don't have it in position by the first dim, you still got a second one to close off the range the dart will land.

You have 3 darts per round, which means you have to land 5 of them, in two separate rounds, inside the green/red circle to get the 50 points per dart, and the last one under the designated area for the extra triple 17 points. Once you do, you'll be done and you'll get the trophy.

The Luck Up materia is rewarded by Wedge further ahead in the story when Avalanche is going on their second mission, just as shown on the video.

If you mess up a dart throw, you don't have to wait until the game is over to start again, just press 0 on the controller and you can start over instantly.
