Описание к видео How the Brain Learns to Read for Kids | Educational Songs | Learning to Read | Reading Brain Song

Teacher Made: I created this song and video as a simple introduction for my young students on how the brain learns to read. Using simple language and engaging images this video and song can be used in a variety of learning environments to open up a discussion about the important role the brain plays in learning to read and the things that can and should be done to help that process along. Please use this video as a starting point and continue to do research and find other resources to enhance and expand the conversation with your students/children. Reading is fundamental, it happens in the brain, but before you learn to do it, your brain, it must be trained. Reading is fun and mental but there are things you need to know, and once you learn and practice, your reading brain will grow.

Reading takes time and effort
To create the paths your brain will need
Reading takes time and effort
We have to teach the brain to read

Let’s get those neurons firing and wired to read
Starting with the basics to build the foundation that you need.

Reading is fundamental, but we have to break the code.
We break words down into smaller sounds and then we’re set to go.

Letters represent sounds in words and help us read, write and spell
Once we make the connection, our brain is ready to do excel

The sound /c/ in the word cat is represented by the letter C
and the /t/ in the word turtle is represented by the letter T.

Positive experiences help your brain get stronger
and keep you learning more.
Once you you learn to read, you’ll have opportunities galore

To be able to read is not natural, so it must be built up
Playing with letters, sounds, words and language will fill our reading cup.

Reading is fundamental, it happens in the brain, but before you learn to do it, your brain, must be trained.
Reading is monuMental, it happens in the brain
and once you learn to do it, your life will never be the same

Learning to read changes your brain
And oh what wonderful things you will gain
