ROAD TRIP WRITING GAMES!

I had 1500 miles to drive to get up to a writing retreat, so I thought it would be fun to gamify my journey! My patrons voted and decided: for each coffee consumed, it "cost" me 500 words. Monuments subtracted 500 and bathroom breaks subtracted 100. Books bought were worth 500 additional words, and for each mile driven, I needed to 2X my word count. Let's see how I did....👀

Seriously, this made the trek SO MUCH FUN. And I cannot recommend attempting a version of this enough! Just make sure you hit up Casey, Illinois to help you out lolol.
