The Land of Auld Lang Syne - 1950

Описание к видео The Land of Auld Lang Syne - 1950

James A. FitzPatrick takes us on a Technicolor tour of Edinburgh, Scotland which, in 1950, 500,000 people called home. We learn that religion, science and the arts are the most important things here and we get to see various historic sites including Edinburgh Castle. FitzPatrick then turns his attention to poet Robert Burns, among others, who is best remembered for Auld Lang Syne, which we get to hear a part of at the end of the picture. The majority of stuff here includes showing us where several of his poems were written, fields he would walk through as well as his burial place. Fans of the series are going to find plenty to enjoy here.
